March 26, 2012 - Guerrilla Packs: How to Shoot a Wall worthy Photo

**Key to Success: Scouting out your Shot**

You’ll need planning for the best framing, light, and timing. Here’s how to nail the perfect aerial shot:

-Find a high spot that overlooks what shot you are planning on capturing. This can overlook a canyon or valley and has to have a dramatic backdrop, like a peak, sunset or sunrise, or waterfall.

-Frame the picture vertically, with your hiking partner in the bottom right or left quadrant of the picture, and the canyon walls or another feature framing the sides. Zoom in to make the backdrop appear larger, but keep your partner far enough away—so he looks small, to convey a sense of scale. This will show your viewers how amazing your location actually is.

- Take several shots, manually adjusting the exposure until the sky is a vivid blue and your subject is not too dark!

With these three simple tips, Guerrilla Packs hopes that you get the shot of a lifetime that you will be proud to hang on a wall in  your house! Remember to keep following Guerrilla Packs on our Twitter and on our Facebook!
