The Great Barrier Reef is also able to be seen from space. Don't forget to get scuba certified when you go so you can have the experience of you and over 1,5000 different species of fish!
Barrier Reef- Belize
The Barrier Reef is filled with warm water and is home to the largest population of manatee. Spend a few days in Belize working on getting your scuba license then head out to the big blue and experience everything this reef has to offer you. When you are done exploring the reef, swim over to the Big Blue Hole, which is allegedly the largest sinkhole in the world! Make sure to set aside three to four days and around $300 to get scuba certified before you set out to experience this amazing reef!
Grand Cayman- Cayman Islands
In terms of underwater visibility, you won't find water much clearer than these Caribbean waters. You don’t have to go far from the coast to get deep. The island is placed on the top of a mountain, meaning there is a steep vertical drop-off. Be sure to check out Stingray City, where stingrays are used to human interaction from all of the fish man they see on a daily basis. Certification here runs you up to $400, and takes three to four days, so you might want to consider getting certified before you come to the Cayman Islands if money is tight!
Straits of Gubal- Egypt
If you love history and you love pirates, then is your ideal scuba location. The Straits of Gubal are home to dozens of sunken ships. The ships have become a part of the ocean and are a site you don't want to miss. Certification is about $300 over a five day period, so make sure you plan ahead so you don't have to miss out on one of the most amazing places to scuba dive in the world!
Jellyfish Lake- Palau
If you can't cough up the money to scuba dive, then this is the place for you. Jellyfish Lake only allows snorkelers since people fear that scuba gear will harm the jellyfish. Don't worry about getting stung by them either; these little yellow jellyfish are completely stingless!
