COLMAR, FRANCE
As if being the wine capital of was not enough, Colmar is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It looks as if it was painted straight out of a fairytale. This tiny town in Alsace is famous not only for its magically colorful old town. Colmar, situated along the Alsatian Wine Route, is called the "Capital of Alsatian Wine" - it has very warm weather and is the second driest city in France, making it ideal for wine growing.
NEUSCHWANSTEIN CASTLE, GERMANY
It is not castle in Walt Disney’s Disneyland, although it looks like a fairytale palace that is occupied by some beautiful princess waiting to be rescued by her prince charming. This castle was built for Ludwig II in the 19th century on rugged hills in Germany. The castles fixtures were revolutionary at the time with running water and flushing toilets on every floor! Today, the Neuschwanstein Castle is the main stop on the Romantic Road, the Bavarian trail of ancient towns and castles.
HOI AN, VIETNAM
HoI An, Vietnam is a place you cannot miss when you are traveling in Vietnam. It is a beautiful little town that has more silk lamps than people. This town used to be filled with exporters and traders, but is now a main tourist attraction for travelers who are looking for a little romance.
VENICE, ITALY
Venice is hard to compete with in my books. It has everything a fairytale destination calls for. Its admirable architecture, unique canals, the abundance of fantastic sights and extraordinary atmosphere are one of a kind. Venice is stretched across 117 small islands, 455 bridges, and has hundreds of canals where romantic gondolas wind their way through the city.
